Origins
When developing ECG devices, engineers require fast and flexible testing to verify the effectiveness of design adjustments.
However, high-end simulators with comprehensive simulation capabilities require complex configurations, making repeated verification cumbersome after each adjustment. In contrast, relatively affordable entry-level simulators lack essential test signals, such as DC offset and noise simulation, making it harder for engineers to develop and verify their designs efficiently.
At the same time, EMC testing presents a great challenge in compliance testing. Current ECG simulators on the market cannot be tested alongside DUTs in EMC environments, forcing test engineers to develop custom workarounds—often leading to varying degrees of interference and suboptimal test results, resulting in costly and time-consuming retests.
To address these challenges, WhaleTeq developed the HECG100, offering an intuitive and efficient setup, advanced simulated signals essential for R&D testing, and EMC-ready specifications to streamline ECG device development and compliance testing.
