Origins
Wearable device manufacturers continuously strive to enhance product performance and accuracy to approach medical device standards and meet the user demand for precise ECG recording. Therefore, for effective product validation, more precise test signals and compliance testing are essential.
However, current testing methods in the quality assurance department or production lines often only allow for one device to be tested at a time. If testing numerous devices and introducing more test items are unavoidable, this necessitates additional testing equipment and workforce.
So we designed an ECG tester specifically for wearable devices—WECG400, featuring 4 electrode ports that enable operators to test 4 devices simultaneously and save time on repetitive setups.
It integrates IEC 60601-2-47 test items, including dynamic range, input impedance, and frequency response, helping manufacturers ensure each product meets regulatory requirements of accuracy.
Accurate ECG testing relies on precise and small test signals, so reducing noise interference is fundamental to ECG testers. Not to mention that different equipment in the production line might generate various types of noise, which can affect the tests. Therefore, to effectively mitigate environmental noise interference, we have paid particular attention to the WECG400's multiple anti-interference designs, minimizing noise's impact on test signals and ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
At the same time, to ensure smooth performance verification, the WECG400 must be seamlessly integrated into the existing testing process. Therefore, we provide a free software development kit (SDK) that allows engineers to develop their own automated testing software. They can design programs that best fit into the current testing process, and even control multiple WECG400 to test more than 4 devices at once, maximizing testing efficiency.
Enhancing testing efficiency and ensuring product quality for manufacturers have always been our goals. We hope the WECG400 can overcome the challenges of testing and validation without compromising efficiency or precision.
